SHORT BIO:
Music brought Matt & Carol together.

For over 25 years, these married best-friends have played their songs about life & love, blending bright bits of soft rock, modern country, and smooth jazz into a unique acoustic pop style with sparkling harmonies and lyrics that celebrate gaining and keeping healthy, happy relationships.

Fans love their vulnerable lyrics about real intimacy in marriage and the joys and terrors of truly knowing and being known by another.

"Our love started in music," Matt says, "We've played together as friends since 1988 and as husband/wife since 1993. Sometimes it was hard and it looked like we wouldn't make it, but we weren't quitting. As we revealed ourselves to God and each other, He healed us and brought us into the SweetLife; hence the name. And we’re still best friends after all these years." Carol agrees, "Music's a huge part of our marriage, and that relationship is the foundation for our songs."

Their latest CD, LOVE WEARS NO DISGUISE, focuses on intimacy and equipping the listener to handle the ups and downs of married life.

They’ve performed at nightclubs & churches, wineries & festivals, retirement communities & recovery groups, marriage-building events & fundraisers in Nashville, So-Cal, and the Mid-Atlantic Region.

They’ve shared stages with Americana icons The Black Lilies, country music legends Stu Huggens and Buck McCoy, cigar box guitar bluesman Shane Speal, and radio personality/comedian Earl David Reed.

Their song, “This Day” was played during their daughter’s wedding in 2011, and their granddaughter Haley started hearing their lullaby “Angel Mine” even before her birth in 2013.

They’re the creators of LOVE’S JOURNEY, a musical lifetime-love-story woven through with their songs and experience. www.SweetLifeMusic.com/LovesJourney

They’ve been featured at The Wagonshed and Nashville Songwriters Night, York Daily Record and Lancaster County Woman, on WZBT and WVYC, on CBS 21’s Morning News, and at WOSradio.com, ButterfliesRadio.com, YDR.com, and TheLancast.com.

They’ve appeared at festivals (Fall Music Fest III, Millennium, LAUNCH, Take My Hand, and WinterFest), chapel services for NSRA, fundraisers (An Afternoon of Music/Relay for Life, Just Dessert/Jewel David Ministries). They coordinated, hosted, and performed at A Benefit For Shawn, a fundraiser for their cancer-stricken nephew.

They host the fourth Thursday Nashville Songwriters Night and Wednesday Open Mics at Burning Bridge Tavern, and lead worship at New Path Community Church.
