A house concert is a simple gathering where friends come together to enjoy original songs and stories in a relaxed, intimate setting. All you need is space for 10–20 people—a living room, backyard, or similar space works perfectly.

A typical evening includes time to connect, about an hour of music, storytelling, humor, and audience interaction, followed by more conversation and laughter. Matt & Carol's songs explore the joys and challenges of everyday life with warmth, honesty, hope, and grace. Food is optional but always welcome, from light refreshments to a potluck meal. We provide a small, high-quality sound system designed for comfortable listening in smaller spaces.

For the host, usually nothing. Guests RSVP through a free ticket page and are invited to make a suggested donation (typically $15 per person or $40 for families). Your role is simply to welcome friends and enjoy the evening together.

We're based in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and are happy to travel throughout the U.S. and southern Canada. For events more than 150 miles away, help with travel expenses may be needed.
